Oiling Your Scale: Yes, ladies we do like to keep our scalp moisturized but the key is not to go overboard it. Going over board will cause your hair follicles to become clogged and therefore not able to breath which may cause excess flaking. Putting a lot of hair oil/cream in your hair will only weigh it down and cause it to get dirty very quickly. Patience is the key with your hair...don't expect a hair miracle over night.

It's Not Ok to Touch My Hair!

When my girlfriends and I get together and do our girl talk, sometimes the weirdest topics arise. One of which is "why do strangers think its OK to touch your hair?" I could understand if they ask first, but a lot of individuals really don't and I am boggled as to why. I consider my hair to be very much apart of me just like my nose or arm. To be quite frank its annoying and unfortunately I have seen people get very upset by this very "not welcoming" gesture. Is this a universal thing?

Trying a New Look!

What do you do when you get bored with your hair?

Well, I'll share my hair experiment...
I decided to let my hair grow back to its normal long length and still wanted a different look for the New Year. Ironically, for months I thought about cutting it very short "A Hallie Barry" but then I reconsidered. So then I thought, "What about Bangs?". I would still incorporate "my cut" but it would just be the front of my hair, so I went for it. Guess what I love it! But something was still missing, what else could I possibly do with my hair? I know, what about highlights! Altogether, my hair style experiment was a success. A bit scary on deciding the length that I wanted for my bangs and then choosing a color for highlights, but it was worth it. I have received a lot of compliments, so I am loving it even more. So, have you tried a new look?
